BEIJING, Feb 9: China hopes that relations between Pakistan and the United States will help establish peace and stability in South Asia, said a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan.
He said: “We welcome the visit of President Musharraf to the USA and hope it would contribute to peace and stability in the region.”
About President Bush’s visit to Beijing on Feb 21, he said it would be important in the context of bilateral relations and for the development of global peace and stability.—APP
