KARACHI, June 8: Mushtaq Mohammad, the former Pakistan captain, has called for grooming of young cricketers at grassroots level. Mushtaq, while inaugurating the Aga Khan University (AKU) Sports Centre summer coaching camp, said that only sheer hard work and discipline were basic ingredients of becoming a good cricketer.
He appreciated the efforts of the coaches for rendering their services at the camp, which is being conducted from Tuesday to Thursday every week between 4 and 6pm.
Ex-Test paceman Jalaluddin also emphasized that through hard work young kids can emulate the greats of Pakistan cricket like Mushtaq, Hanif Mohammad, Javed Miandad, Imran Khan, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
