Maula Bakhsh shines

LAHORE, Feb 7: Borjan defeated Musa Industries 7 1/2—0, Nee Punhal beat Rangers 7—1 1/2 and First Law Company defeated Black Berets 8-3 in the Samsung Junior Cup polo Thursday.

Final of the tournament will be played between Borjan and  Nee Punhal on Feb 9 (Saturday).

Borjan had advantage of two-and-a-half goals and  it  scored five goals during play.

For Borjan, Munawwar Baig scored two goals while Jamal Iftikhar, Ahmad Ali Tiwana and Agha Murtaza Ali struck once, each.

Rangers had  an advantage of half-a-goal on handicap  and  it could score only one field goal through Lt.-Col. Talat Zia.

For Nee Punhal, Maula Bakhsh scored four consecutive goals, included a hat-trick. Usman Haye struck twice while Feroz Gulzar scored one goal.

First Law Company outplayed Black Berets 8-3 but failed to qualify for the final. Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana scored five and Raja Muhammad Amir the other three. Lt-Col. Talat Saeed scored two goals and Aslam struck once for Black Berets.
