ISLAMABAD, May 5: The government on Friday announced the promotion of Rear Admiral Iftikhar Ahmed Rao HI (M) to the rank of vice admiral.

Vice Admiral Iftikhar Ahmed Rao has served as deputy chief of naval staff (operations) at the naval headquarters. At present, he is managing director of Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works.—APP
