ISLAMABAD, Oct 16: France has committed an assistance of 226 million franc in cash and kind for the Afghan refugees and Afghanistan.

The French humanitarian assistance is based on three types of interventions.

This programme will be spread out over several months, involving a total amount of 226 million franc. Food aid is the most important. It is also the most sensitive as the displaced persons have to be identified while they are on the move.—APP
