ISLAMABAD, April 20: Two matches are to be contested on the opening day of the All-Pakistan PCB-Pepsi National Schools Championship (Islamabad Chapter) on May 2, officials said on Thursday.
The Federal Government (FG) Model School G-9/4 will play FG Boys' Higher Secondary School No. 1 G-6/2 at the Diamond Ground while FG Boys' Secondary School No. 8 F-6/2 will face off Islamabad College for Boys (ICB) G-6/2 at the Punjab Ground.
The draws for the tournament which features 16 schools were finalised in a meeting held at the Federal Education Directorate.
Officials said that boys under 17 years of age were eligible to take part in the tournament which is being organised under the auspices of ICA.
The participating teams have been divided into the following four pools:
Pool A: FG Model School G9/4, FG Boys' Higher Secondary School G6/2, FG Boys' Secondary School No. 8 F-6/2, ICB G-6/2
Pool B: FG Boys' Secondary School No. 14, G-9/1, FG Model School I-9/4, FG Model School I-10/4, IMCB F-8/4
Pool C: IMCB F-7/3, FG Model School G-10/3, Beaconhouse School H-8/4, IMCB F-10/3
Pool D: FG Boys' Secondary School I-14, FG Boys' Secondary School Bara Khau, IMCB G-10/4, City School H-8/4.
