LAHORE, Feb 4: The Kashmir Day will be observed on Tuesday to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir and to lend moral and political support to their struggle for their right to self-determination under the UN resolutions.

The federal and provincial governments have already declared Tuesday as a public holiday to facilitate public participation in the events and functions to be organized to mark the day.

Several programmes have been scheduled both at the government and private level to mark the day in the Punjab and to reiterate public support to the Kashmir cause. Public rallies and walks to be led by district Nazims have been arranged while banners expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris are already hung at roads.
