BAHAWALPUR, March 12: Wife of an ASI, who was allegedly raped last week, has sought justice from police high-ups. Reports said ‘I’ of Dhinot mauza had visited the Channan Pir tomb near Yazman on March 2 when eight men, including Shah Nawaz, Muhammad Amin and Allah Ditta, allegedly abducted her and took her to Chak No 116/DNB. The woman alleged that Shah Nawaz raped her while his seven accomplices guarded the room. The accused also deprived her of a gold chain.

On her report, the Yazman police had registered an Hudood case on March 7 and arrested Allah Ditta. She said the police did not arrest the main accused and released Allah Ditta on political pressure.

The rape victim said the accused were pressurising her for a compromise and threatening her with abduction of her child.

She has urged the police high-ups to arrest the alleged rapists at the earliest.
