ISLAMABAD, March 4: US President George Bush left Pakistan late Saturday, an official said, wrapping up a maiden tour of South Asia during which he also visited Afghanistan and India.

Mr Bush and his wife Laura flew out of Chaklala airbase after a 24-hour visit.

“Air Force One has taken off,” the official said on condition of anonymity, referring to the US leader’s plane.
