`Shumaila and Sabahat shine

LAHORE, March 4: Scintillating unbeaten century by Shumaila Mushtaq and fine bowling by off-spinner Sabahat Rasheed helped Lahore earn a big 166-run win over Sialkot in the 2nd national women cricket championship at the Qadhafi Stadium on Saturday.

Shumaila struck 104-ball 118 with 18 boundaries as Lahore piled up 251-5 in 40 overs. Another unbeaten Razia Malik contributed 41-ball 45, cracking six boundaries. Sabahat earned four wickets for 15 runs in five overs as Sialkot were bundled out for 85 in 29 overs.

In another match, Faisalabad defeated Multan by six wickets at the Government College, University ground.

Set to score 82 for win, Faisalabad romped home scoring 82 in 18.2 overs for the loss of four wickets.
