SUKKUR, March 4: The National Database Registration Authority will prepare database of all citizens of the country. This was stated by the regional director of NADRA, Col Mohammad Khalid Khan, while speaking on the eve of ‘service week’ being held from March 6 to 11.
He said the organization would prepare computerized national identity cards, Form-B, readable national identity cards through machines.
He said that in addition to this the NADRA would maintain registration of Pakistani citizens on the latest modern techniques to be utilized for better planning concerning to economy, education and industrial development.
He said that the NADRA had been divided in Pakistan administratively in eight different parts and every zone has its own headquarter, including one in Sukkur.
He said that the Sukkur region has 13.205 million population consisting 12 districts of upper Sindh where 28 centres had been established.
He said the NADRA had provided new computerized national identity cards at least 47 per cent people of the country while remaining people including those living in rural areas would be provided computerized national identity cards through swift centres and through mobile teams.
He said that to control over issue of fake passports NADRA was busy in preparing readable passports through latest modern machines.
He said that due to the best performance of the NADRA, the Philippines, Nepal, Bangladesh, Arab and Central Asian countries were very much impressed and trying to get services of NADRA.
He appealed to nazims of union councils, talukas and districts to educate the people about the importance of national identity card to get prepared their CNICs instead of waiting for elections.
