TOBA TEK SINGH: Kamalia’s PTI-backed MNA-elect from NA 107, Riaz Fatyana, and his wife, also PTI-backed MPA-elect from PP 123, Ashfa Fatyana, have been summoned for Friday by the Faisalabad Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).
Notices sent to both on Thursday by ACE state that Riaz Fatyana will be grilled regarding his alleged corruption in the construction of 35km roads in 12 union councils (Nos. 57 to 68) of Kamalia tehsil. These roads were completed using his MNA development grant during the PTI government.
Meanwhile, Ashfa Fatyana will be probed regarding the alleged corruption in the funds of Rs800 million granted to her for the construction of the University of Kamalia, general bus stand, and sports complex. Both have been directed to bring with them all records related to the charges leveled against them.
They have been warned that failure to appear before the inquiry officer will result in legal action against them.
HELD: Faisalabad’s Khurrianwala police arrested a blasphemy case suspect (name withheld) on Thursday in a raid from Sargodha.
The suspect had escaped from police custody in Faisalabad while being transported to Khurrianwala after a court hearing on Tuesday night.
The city police spokesperson claimed that modern techniques were used to locate the absconded accused.
