PESHAWAR, March 2: District Nazim Haji Ghulam Ali informed NWFP Chief Secretary Ijaz Ahmad Qureshi on Thursday that the city circular road project would be completed in two phases at a cost of Rs100 million.
The expansion of city circular road would be a landmark project in the development of Peshawar, said the chief secretary during his surprise visit to the site.
He also reviewed demolished properties at Kohati Chowk and inspected the plot to provide substitute accommodation to the affected people. The chief secretary expressed satisfaction over the pace of construction work on the project and said Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani had issued directives for speedy development and prosperity of Peshawarites.
He said the provincial government would continue supporting district governments and release more uplift funds for completion of the ongoing mega projects. On this occasion, Nazim Town-I Haji Shukat Ali gave a detailed briefing regarding utility of the widening of city circular road project.—APP
