KASUR, Feb 26: A proclaimed offender was killed in a police ‘encounter’ while his accomplice managed to escape here on Sunday at Chunian Bheemkay Char Road.

On a tip-off, a police team, led by DSP (investigation) raided Bheemkay Char village to arrest PO Zain. On seeing the police, he opened fire. During an exchange of fire, he was killed on the spot while his accomplice managed to escape. —Correspondent
