HYDERABAD, Feb 2: Five persons were feared dead as a tractor trolley fell in the River Indus near the Jamshoro bridge after it was hit by a coaster on Saturday.

A police source said that a tractor trolley, carrying bricks, was on its way to Dadu when a coaster of Panwhar Coach (QAG-8652) dashed into the trolley while over taking.

The trolley fell near Gate No. 21 of the bridge. The coaster driver fled from the scene.

The police, divers and other officials rushed to the spot.

The body of driver Nazar Mohammad, a resident of Loralai, was fished out of the water, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences doctora confirmed.

Efforts were being made to trace other bodies. The source said around five persons were on board the trolley.

The trolley had loaded bricks from the kilns, located in the vicinity of Hyderabad, near Tando Hyder.

The police have sent teams to bring the kiln owner to get the exact number of people, travelling with the trolley.
