MINGORA, Feb 12: A strike was observed here on Sunday on the call of local traders’ organizations in protest against the publication of blasphemous caricatures by some European newspapers.

Shops, shopping centres and bazaars through out Swat district remained closed.

Protesters held rallies in all the towns of the district and marched on the roads. They chanted slogans against Denmark and other European countries.—Correspondent
