In Rawalpindi the main procession was taken out from Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain on College Road in the morning. After passing through its traditional route the procession concluded at Imambargah Qadeemi at Banni in the evening.
Zakireen and religious scholars delivered special sermons at Fawara Chowk.
The ulema of different schools of thought stressed the need for unity against evil forces.
Special prayers were also offered for the solidarity of the country. The mourners condemned the sacrilegious caricatures published in Danish and some other European newspapers.—PPI
