HYDERABAD, Feb 1: Sindh minister for labour, local government, industries and mineral development Dewan Mohammad Yousuf Farooqui inaugurated computer classes at the Sindh Model School, SITE, Hyderabad, here on Thursday.

On this occasion the minister was informed that 33 P-III computers have been provided for laboratories to train the workers’ children.

The minister instructed the director of Workers Welfare Board to provide 10 more computers for laboratories to facilitate more students.

He said that more such schools would be opened to provide opportunities for modern education to workers’ children.

He said that the financial assistance in the shape of tuition fee has been provided to 7 workers’ children, who were studying in schools.

He said that in Karachi District West, 21 schools of Pak Education Society were functioning and the Sindh Model School will operate in two shifts and the construction cost will be Rs30 million.

He said that a school has also been set up in Korangi, Karachi, where 1,700 students have been enrolled.

On the occasion, Hyderabad district Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman lauded the efforts regarding the establishment of such schools. Taluka Nazim Latifabad also present on the occasion.

MOTOR RALLY: The members of the Malik community under the banner of Malik Ittehad took out a motor rally from Latifabad here on Friday to express solidarity with the valiant armed forces.

Led by Haji Zafar Malik, Hyderabad City Nazim, Haji Moin Shaikh, Latifabad taluka Nazim, Abdul Jabbar Khan, and his deputy, Ghulam Mustafa Kalhoro, the rally terminated at the Hyderabad press club.

The leaders of the Malik community condemned the Indian aggressive designs and assured President Gen Pervez Musharraf and the armed forces that the whole nation was united to give a befitting reply to any adventurist.

They said that thousands of youth of the Malik community were ready to sacrifice their lives for the defence of the motherland.
