LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), Jan 19: Traffic on the main Torkhum-Peshawar highway remained suspended on Thursday for nearly three hours when Zakha Khel tribesmen blocked the road at Chingai in a bitter denunciation of the arrest of their co-tribesmen by the local authorities.

On Monday, the authorities arrested Ishaq and Muhammad Sadeeq after a rival group charged them with firing a mortar shell at their residence. The rival group belonged to the family of Haji Gul Sher, a former minister of state and senator.
