LAHORE, Jan 19: Chaudhry Habib Riaz (27), the nephew of PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain, was found dead in mysterious circumstances here on Thursday. He was the son of Riaz Akhtar, the Mandi Bahauddin district nazim. Habib Riaz was asleep along with his friends, Gohar Zaman and Waleed Khan, in the upper storey of a quarter at Mushtarka Goods Transport building in Al-Kubra Mandi. His friends woke up at 3pm on Thursday and found Habib Riaz dead.

They immediately contacted his father who informed the police about the incident.

Police officials hastened to the site and discovered that Habib Riaz was bleeding from nose and ears. After taking the body in their custody, the police shifted it to the city morgue.

Doctors said family members of the deceased did not want postmortem on the body.

Doctors are of the opinion that Habib Riaz has probably died of brain haemorrhage.

Meanwhile, funeral prayers of Riaz will be held at 2pm on Friday (today) in Pahrianwali. Later, he will be laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard.—Online
