KARACHI: CT, PTC results

KARACHI, Jan 5: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi on Thursday declared the results of Primary Teaching Certificate (PTC) and Certificate of Teaching (CT) annual exams 2005.

In PTC exams, 157 male candidates appeared out of the 169 registered of which only 24 passed while the results of 76 were withheld. The number of female candidates appeared in exams was 621 out of 639 registered. 326 candidates passed the exams.

Only one male candidate secured A grade, nine got B, 14 got C grades. 34 female candidates passed in A grades, 179 got B, 112 got C and one got D grade.

Aisha of Govt Elementary College, Lyari, was declared first; Rabia of GECE for Women, Hussainabad stood second and Mehwish Afzal of the same college stood third.

In CT exams, 143 male candidates appeared of which 75 passed the exams. 562 female candidates appeared of which 377 passed the exams.

Only three male candidates got A grades, 38 got B, 33 secured C and one got D grade. 90 female candidates secured A grades, 211 got B, 74 secured C and two got D grade.

Ufaq Zehra of Elementary College of Education, Ancholi, secured first position; Erum Rahman of Govt Elementary College of Education, Shah Faisal Colony, stood second and Hina Begum of the same college stood third.—PPI
