PESHAWAR, Jan 29: German Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Christoph Brummer on Tuesday expressed the desire of his government to extend all possible help to the NWFP government in various sectors, including education, health and electricity.

The German envoy also discussed matters of bilateral interest during his meeting with NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah here on Tuesday.

The governor informed Mr Brummer that the presence of Afghan refugees had put a tremendous pressure on health and education sectors, besides other walks of life.

The available health and education resources were not enough even to meet the requirements of the local population, he said.—Bureau Report
