Warning about suspicious gift packs

Published December 10, 2005

KOHAT, Dec 9: The security department of Fata has advised its officials to take extreme care while opening suspicious gift packs, in view of intelligence reports that Al Qaeda may try to avenge the killing of their leader last week in North Waziristan. A letter issued this week from the Governor’s Fata Secretariat (Security) outlined several measures to prevent sabotage acts.

It said officials should also order guards stationed at their offices and residence, and private servants not to open suspicious parcels, diaries, files and receive any gifts as they might contain explosives.—Correspondent
