Ulema blast Wali Khan’s remarks

BAJAUR, Oct 15: Leaders of religious and political parties have critizized Rahbr-i-Tehrik Khan Abdul Wali Khan’s statement and urged him to apologize to the Ummat. They also asked him to revive his faith in Islam.

JUI’s Maulana Mohammad Sadiq, Maulana Fatehur Rahim, JI’s Sahibzada Haroonur Rasheed, TNSM’s Maulana Faqir Mohammad, Ashaat Tauheed Wa Sunnah’s Maulana at a joint press conference here on Monday, said that the remarks of Wali Khan against Islam, Jihad, Taliban and Afghanistan had badly hurt the feelings of Muslims.

In the prevailing situation in Afghanistan, waging Jihad against America and its interests had become compulsory and all Muslims were duty bound to fight for Islam, they observed.

STRIKE: Meanwhile, Businesses activities remained closed in the Bajaur Agency as strike was observed on Monday to express solidarity with Afghans against the US air strikes on Afghanistan.
