HYDERABAD, Nov 24: The advisory committee of the newly-formed alliance of nationalist parties concluded its three-day meeting here on Wednesday. The committee drafted the manifesto and code of conduct of the alliance.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Sindh National Front, Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Zain Shah group) and Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Khaliqe Junejo group).
Veteran writer Ibrahim Joyo, who was appointed the head of the advisory committee, presided over the deliberations.
The committee evolved a strategy for a joint struggle for the rights of Sindh.
The advisory committee forwarded the recommendations to the coordinator of the alliance, Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, for approval by heads of various nationalist parties at the next meeting of the alliance.
Speaking on the occasion, Ibrahim Joyo said Sindh was never given its constitutional rights.
The meeting stressed upon the need for launching a joint struggle to take over Sindh’s natural resources and get the due share in the NFC award and water.
Dr Hameed Memon, Hashim Khoso, Ayoub Shar, Dr Niaz Kalani, Rasool Bux Thebo and Punhal Sario attended the meeting.
MMA: A central leader of the MMA and member of the National Assembly, Dr Sahibzada Khair Mohammad has said that Pakistan’s debt has increased as a result of the donors’ conference.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said the earthquake victims would get no benefit from the conference while other Pakistanis had to suffer due to loans.
He hailed the decision of the public accounts committee of the National Assembly for taking cognisance of massive irregularities of Rs10 billion by the National Highway Authority and demanded exemplary punishment for corrupt officials.
