KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: The United States of America would soon train Kuwaiti officials and share its expertise in monitoring donation centres and charity societies.

An agreement has been signed between Kuwait’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, and United States, due to which the later would train and parts its advance systems and models to control over charity centers.

According to the agreement, the first batch of Kuwaiti officials would soon be leaving for the US for training.

Kuwait which condemned terrorism in all its manifestation, tightened its control over donations centers after the events of Sept 11. It has also closed more than 120 illegal donation centers and put some on a watch list.

The US fears that some of the money from these donation centers could be used by Al Qaeda for terrorist activities.
