RAWALPINDI, Jan 24: Buildings for the shelterless schools constructed from the Khushhal Pakistan Programme fund throughout the Rawalpindi district.

The decision was taken at a meeting held here on Thursday at the office of the district coordination officer.

Buildings will be constructed for all those schools which are functioning under the open sky.

The meeting was presided over by the District Nazim and attended by the district coordination officer, Amjad Ali Toor, the executive district officer, education, Dr Tariq Jalil, the EDO, works and services, Syed Iqbal Haider, the EDO, health, Talat Iqbal and some members of the district and union councils.

Raja Tariq Kiani informed the meeting that boundary walls would be constructed around all girls schools.

He also directed the education officials to prepare report for the upgradation of the Government Girls Middle School, Sarooba.

The district Nazim issued orders to the education directorate to carry out necessary repair works and construction of additional rooms and other facilities in different schools which include walls around Government Boys Primary School Gang, Kahuta, walls and bathrooms for Government Boys Primary School, Sarooba, walls around Government Primary School Sharifabad and Government Primary School, Lambran and construction of two classrooms in Government School Chora.

He asked the officials of the works and services department to prepare estimate for these works so that funds could be allocated for their construction.

The district Nazim, Tariq Kiani, also directed the education officials to prepare report for the upgradation of Government Girls High School Chontra and Government Boys School Sarooba and appointment of a lady teacher in Government Girls Primary School Malkal.
