KARACHI, Nov 12: Three-year-old filly, Savabeel, is our day’s best bet and fancied to oblige the punters by winning the feature event in the Winter Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.
The filly displayed her brilliant form when she won the Allama Iqbal Cup in the last race.
Appearing in the last race of the programme to be run over a distance of six furlongs, she would be confronted by ten opponents. She is likely to be chased home by four-year-old filly, Countess Mah Again and three-year-old filly, Queen Of Sanghar.
A card of seven races has been drawn for the day with first race starting at 1.00pm.
Chestnut, Golden Copy, has a fair chance to dominate the opener which will have six contenders in the run. Nine-year-old mare Taneez, and chestnut Afzaal Prince, should settle for the remaining two places.
The eight-year-old half-bred, Desperado, is tipped to pick up the spoils in the second race which has a field of eight runners. Six-year-old mare, Ultimate Victory, and ten-year-old mare, Khush Nazar, should follow considering their track record.
Seven-year-old mare, Ghabra, is poised to win the third race. But to accomplish the task, she would have to overcome Super Time and Tom Cruise.
Smiling Face, a four-year-old filly, should run away with the honours in the fourth race finishing ahead of Gold Disc and Clapping. Both secured top positions in their respective categories in the last race.
Three-year-old colt, Super Salute, and four-year-old colt, Gullu’s Government, should land the next two races.
