ATTOCK, Nov 7: Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Col (retired) Malik Mohammad Anwar has said the provincial government will provide every possible facility in tented village at Fatehjang for earthquake victims and accommodate them till their permanent rehabilitation.

He said Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had launched a programme of one family accommodation which would greatly benefit in the rehabilitation of the quake victims.

This was stated by him while inspecting the under- construction tent villages at Fatehjang on Sunday. DCO Baber Khan Nasir was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, District Officer Building Asif Iqbal Sahoo briefed the minister about the facilities provided in the tent village and said 450 families would be accommodated in the village where a mosque, dispensary and school would also be provided.

While briefing, he said 32 kitchens, 72 bathrooms and 144 toilets would also be provided besides water and electricity.

Malik Mohammad Anwar lauded the efforts of the district nazim. He expressed the hope that the construction work would be completed in time to facilitate earthquake victims.

He said the Punjab government would continue to support the earthquake victims, and the Punjab chief minister was taking personal interest in this regard. He also urged philanthropists to donate generously for the welfare of quake victims.

Attock nazim: Attock Nazim Maj (retired) Tahir Sadiq Khan distributed Eid gifts among patients of earthquake at the DHQ Hospital.

The gifts were arranged by philanthropists of Attock city.

The district nazim gave gifts to every patient and inquired about their health. He directed the hospital administration to provide best health care facility to patients including free medicines.—APP
