LAHORE, Nov 7: The Punjab governor has requisitioned the provincial assembly session for Monday (Nov 14). It will be the 23rd session of the house being requisitioned after Oct 10, 2002, general elections.
Under the constitution, the house has to meet for 70 days in a parliamentary year, starting from Nov 25, and to complete the condition it has to meet for 10 more days for the ongoing year.
The twenty-second session of the assembly has lasted for 14 days and has framed two laws — the Bank of Punjab (amendment) Bill and Madressah Registration Bill.
For lack of business, there has been a two-day break after each working day during the session.
