PESHAWAR, Oct 20: Additional district and sessions judge Shahid Khan on Thursday granted bail to three accused charged in a case about admission test paper leakage. The court ordered that the three accused namely Muhammad Saad, Amjid Ali and Noorzada, should be released after furnishing two sureties of Rs500,000 each.
The court, however, rejected bail applications of two prime accused, Sohail Abdali and Mubeen Samad.
The judge observed that the two accused did not deserve to be released on bail.
Sohail was arrested by the local police red-handed while selling the paper on Sept 24, a day before the entry test for medical colleges of the province was to be held.
The government claimed that the NWFP chief minister had come to know about the sale of the entry test paper following which he directed the special branch police to arrest the culprits.
The police in plainclothes allegedly staged a mock exercise and requested Sohail to sell a paper to them. When he arrived at the appointed place, he was caught red-handed.
