Three killed in accident

QUETTA, Oct 20: Three persons were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a car and a truck at the western bypass here on Thursday night. Police said the speedy truck hit the car, killing three persons on the spot. Police rushed to the site and shifted the injured to the civil hospital.

The condition of two of the injured is stated to be serious. Those who died were identified as Rozi Khan, Asghar Ali and Ikram. The injured are Mohammad Akbar, Karam Khan and Mohammad Akram.

DENIAL: Haji Saifuddin Kabzai, the provincial senior vice-president of the ruling PML, has denied bribery charges levelled against him by an MPA in the Balochistan Assembly, and said that he was ready to face inquiry to prove the allegation false.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club on Thursday, he claimed that the ‘baseless charges are actually aimed at saving an excise police official nominated in an FIR for snatching Rs50,000 at gun point from a respectable person.
