PESHAWAR, Jan 22: Opposing any amendment in the Constitution, Pakistan Muslim League (N) provincial President Pir Sabir Shah said this move would plunge the country into further crisis.

According to a press release issued here on Monday, he was addressing   a team of the PML(N) Malakand Agency at party’s provincial secretariat. Mr Shah said the issue of constitutional amendment should be left to elected constitutional forums.

He said that now when the deadline set by Supreme Court for holding elections was approaching fast, raising the issue of amending the constitution by the government had created anxiety among the democratic forces. The country had been facing internal and external problems and such acts of government would create uncertainty among the masses, he added.
