KARACHI, Jan 22: Judicial Magistrate (South) Erum Jehangir sent three officials of the Pearl Continental Hotel Union to judicial custody for two days on Tuesday.
CIA Inspector Rao Aslam presented the officials — Ghulam Mahmood (general secretary), Bashir Hussain (joint secretary) and Aurangzeb (vice president) — in the court and asked for their remand, which was refused by the magistrate.
They were arrested for their alleged involvement in a fire incident in the hotel.
The management had registered the FIR against the unknown persons.
The workers were sent to the Landhi prison. The next hearing will be held on Thursday.
