DADU, Jan 21: At least 330 employees of the On Farm Water Management working in different districts of Sindh have not been paid their salaries for the last 22 months.
This was disclosed by the employees of the On Farm Water Management, Dadu, while talking to newsmen at the Dadu Press Club on Monday.
They were led by their supervisor, Liaquat Ali Babar.
They said that out of 660 employees, 330 had been paid their salaries on the directives of the provincial minister for agriculture, Hassan Ali Chanhio, while leaving 50 per cent employees without salaries.
They said that 330 employees of the department serving at different districts of the province including management officers, sub-engineers, stenographers, steno-typists, office assistants, clerks, peons, and watchmen had been sent to the surplus pool.
They threatened to launch a series of protests if they were not paid their salaries soon.
