HYDERABAD, Jan 21: The Sindh University authorities on Saturday decided to reduce the rates of admissions fee for all degree, post-graduate programmes under the self-finance scheme, and economical self-finance basis in both the morning as well as evening programmes to bring them within the reach of parents anxious to provide quality education to their sons and daughters.
The university authorities have also given an additional facility under the self-finance scheme under which fee can be paid on session/yearly basis and those who will pay full fees would be given rebate.
This decision will be implemented immediately from the current academic session of 2002.
According to the details released by the director, Admissions, University of Sindh, M. Saleh Rajar, fees under self-finance scheme for admission in the Faculty of Arts for the three-year B.A. (Hon) English and one year M.A. programme, a lump sum of Rs25,000 will be charged, while in instalments the candidate will be required to pay an amount of Rs28,000 in four equal instalments of Rs7,000 year-wise.
For admissions in the two-year M.A. English programme, a lump sum of Rs20,000 and two instalments of Rs11,000 will be charged for each year.
The director, Admissions, also notified that no concessions in tuition and admission fees shall be granted to the students enrolled under the Economical Self-Finance Scheme. The admission fees paid under the Economical Self-Finance Scheme on instalment basis shall not be refundable.
