LAKKI MARWAT: A three decades old blood feud between two influential families of Lakki city, including Maliks of Saeedkhel and Jehanzeb Khan of Khoidadkhel, was ended on Sunday when MPA Munawar Khan and his brother Amir Nawaz convinced elders of both clans to bury their feud and live peacefully.

Around 30 years ago, Jehanzeb Khan, the elder of Khoidadkhel, had killed an elder of Saeedkhel family over a petty dispute. Since then both the families were at loggerheads and reconciliatory efforts in the past had always proved fruitless.

The elders of both the families hugged each others at a reconciliatory function held in Saeedkhel area on Sunday. Among others, MNA Maulana Mohammad Anwar, MPA Munawar Khan, former federal secretary Akhtar Munir, notables of the area and religious scholars were present on the occasion.

Amir Nawaz announced at the function that the elders of Malik family had pardoned the killer for the murder of their family member.

MPA Munawar Khan thanked Malik Damsaz Khan and other members of Malik family for pardoning Jehanzeb Khan of Khoidadkhel.
