AJK PM appoints adviser

MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 19: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday appointed AJK former education secretary Chaudhry Mohammad Yousaf adviser with the rank and status of a minister.

AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan administered oath to him at a ceremony, held at his office. The ceremony was attended by ministers and senior government officials.

Speaking to newsmen, the prime minister lauded the services rendered by Mr Yousaf as education secretary from 1985 to 1990.

Describing him as an honest, upright and hardworking person, he said Mr Yousaf’s appointment as adviser would help improve the quality of education.

Mr Yousaf thanked the prime minister for his compliments.
