KARACHI: BCom results announced

KARACHI, Sept 12: The Examinations Department, University of Karachi on Monday announced the results of BCom part-I and part-II/both parts supplementary examinations 2004, taken by both the regular and external candidates.

A total of 6,966 candidates had registered themselves with the KU exams department for BCom part-II/both parts supplementary examinations 2004, of which 6,460 appeared and only 92 were declared successful in first division.

Around 1,906 candidates were secured second division and 151 got third division. The total pass percentage remained 33.26 per cent.

The KU exams department also withheld the results of 71 candidates for incomplete enrolment and registration and using of unfair means during the exams.

A total of 810 candidates were registered with the KU exams department for BCom part-I, regular and external supplementary examinations 2004, of which 753 appeared and only 362 were declared successful with total pass percentage of 48.07 per cent.

Some 599 candidates registered themselves with the KU exams department as regular candidates, of which 556 appeared and 269 were declared successful in the exams. The pass percentage remained 48.38 per cent.

In BCom part-I external exams, some 211 candidates got themselves registered of which 197 appeared and only 93 were declared successful. The pass percentage remained 47.21 per cent.

The KU exams department also withheld the results of four candidates for using unfair means during the exams.—PPI
