KARACHI, Sept 8: Eight ships carrying coal, crude oil and steel cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, CMA CGN Karibu, Scotia, Hyundai Stride, Thor Capitain, to unload and load containers, Golden Far East, Stolt Rindo, to unload chemicals, and Lalazar, to offload crude oil, were berthed after the departure of six.
The ships, which departed on Thursday were led by APL Jeddah, Hyundai Stride, United Prosperity, Thor Traveeller, Golen Far East and Hallisen, while Athlo Foros, Stolt Rindo, Panagani, Y.M. Moon, Scotia, Lalazar, APL Orchid and Eax Sanctity are due to sail out on Friday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.115m tons comprising 16,458 tons of export cargo and 97,986 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Friday: Global Wind, with 42,662 tons of coal, Swat, with 69,600 tons of crude oil, Wan Hai-266, Iran Baluchestan, Maersk Alaska Wester Muehlen, with containers, Wisdom-C, Sea Luc, with steel cargo.
