Expansion plan

RIYADH, Aug 20: Newly crowned Saudi King Abdullah has allocated 1.25 billion dollars for expansion work at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina, official media said on Saturday. King Abdullah, who acceded to the throne of the oil-rich kingdom after the death of his half-brother king Fahd on August 1, ordered that the expansion work started at the holy place be completed at a cost of 4.7 billion riyals.—AFP
