Maqbool to see civil servants

LAHORE, Jan 15: Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool is scheduled to meet civil servants in the province at the Governor’s House here on Wednesday.

This will be the governor’s first such meeting with senior civil servants in the province since he took over in October last year.

According to officials, the governor will address the civil servants at the Darbar Hall in the afternoon. Board of revenue’s senior members, planning and development board chairman, all administrative secretaries excluding those of education and health departments, and governor’s inspection team chairman and all members have been invited.

They have also been asked to ensure the presence of all members of the board of revenue, all additional secretaries, heads of attached departments and heads of autonomous bodies based in Lahore.

According to sources, the governor is expected to present the agenda of the provincial government.

He will also point out weaknesses various departments and district governments which he gathered during his recent visits to various cities in the province, they expected.
