QUETTA, Aug 7: Baloch Students Organization (Muttahida) Chairman Dr Imdad Baloch said on Sunday that his organization would not abandon its plan to hold a long march and sit-in outside the Governor’s House on Aug 14 if its detained leaders were not released.
He condemned the arrest of BSO leaders and workers in Turbat and said alleged that the Frontier Corps and other law-enforcement agencies had attacked participants of a peaceful procession. He asked BSO workers to speed up preparation for the long march and sit-in.
Meanwhile, the condition of BSO Vice-Chairman Sohrab Baloch and Jamhoori Watan Party leader Ghaffar Baloch, who have been on a hunger strike for seven days, has deteriorated.
Balochistan National Movement leaders Mohammad Yar and Abdul Latif Baloch visited the hunger strikers and expressed solidarity with them.
They said the BNM would support the struggle for the recovery of Dr Allah Nazar Baloch, Akhtar Nadeem Baloch, Ali Nawaz Gohar Baloch and Asghar Ali Bangulzai of the BSO and their presentation in a court.
