Rizwan hits 100 out of 143

KARACHI, Jan 14: A remarkable unbeaten century by Rizwan Malik was the highlight of the Quaid Trophy tie between Bahawalpur and Gujranwala at Bahawalpur Stadium Monday.

According to details available here, Gujranwala were bowled out for 143 with No 3 batsman Rizwan Malik making an undefeated 100 off 194 deliveries in a stay of 184 minutes.

Bahawalpur, in reply, were tottering at 39 for seven with slow left-armer Ghulam Murtaza doing most of the damage by picking up four wickets for six runs in 6.4 overs.

Veteran spinners Murtaza Hussain and Mohammad Zahid shared eight wickets between in Gujranwala’s first innings.
