TRIPOLI, Jan 14: Libya has slashed the value of its dinar against the dollar and lowered customs tariffs at the same time, officials said on Monday.

The official exchange rate has gone from three dollars to the dinar to 1.3 dinars to the dollar, a central bank official said, adding that the aim was to reduce the black market.—AFP
