KASUR, July 12: Four members of a family were killed and two others were injured when the roof of a room caved in owing to rain in nearby Bakerkey village on Monday night. Sharifan Bibi of Eisa Nagar along with four children — Rimsha (5), Aneesa (3), Uzma (7) and Naveed (12) — went to Bakerkey to see her mother, Weeran Bibi.

At night, when they were asleep, the roof of the room caved in. Sharifan Bibi, Rimsha, Aneesa and Weeran Bibi died on the spot.

Uzma and Naveed sustained serious injuries and were taken to the DHQ Hospital.—APP
