ISLAMABAD, Jan 12: The indigenous freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people cannot be confused with terrorism said central leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Fakhar Zaman on Friday.

Speaking in a PTV programme he said that Kashmiri people were fighting for their right to self-determination.

He said it was India which took the Kashmir issue to the United Nations. A resolution was adopted as a result of their own initiative which they have failed to implement in almost 50 years.

He said the Indians were carrying on the worst kind of state terrorism in Kashmir and have deployed 700,000 armed personnel to crush the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people.

On the one hand the Indians are making loud clamours across the world that the perpetrators of the attack on their parliament were based in Pakistan, and on the other hand they are not willing to provide evidence to support their claim, he said.
