KARACHI, July 7: Sindh Adviser on Local Government Waseem Akhtar on Thursday arranged an inspection visit of the ongoing projects under the city government and town municipal administrations (TMAs). The decision was made in view of the news items published in a section of press that the pace of work on the uplift projects under the city government and town municipal administrations (TMAs) had been slowed down.

The adviser will inspect four major ongoing projects including the Shahrah-i-Quaideen Flyover, Rashid Minhas Road, Jehangir Road and Manghopir Road, today.

In a meeting of the city government officials, held here, the adviser said after issuance of directives that all the ongoing projects would be completed in the stipulated time period and contractors would be paid bills without delay, no complaints should be received in this regard.

However, he resented on such complaints, saying that the government would not tolerate delay in these projects. The adviser said that in order to inspect pace and quality of works on these projects, he would start his visit from Friday and after the visit these projects would be monitored regularly.—PPI
