KARACHI, June 30: A dozen vessels carrying containers, chemicals, crude oil and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Kota Waris, Corin Thaikos, Hyundai Stride, Y.N. Moon, Kota Teguh to unload and load containers, Swat to offload crude oil and Sunniva to load ethanol were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included Asian Trader, Dong He, Bao Longmen, Rising One and APL Dalian, while Hyundai Stride, Gagar Mayang, Team Effort, Sima Kijo, Y.M.Moon, Kota Waris, Sirorat Naree, Sondos and Swat are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage to rose 0.118m tons comprising 29,140 tons of export cargo including 1,099 tons of cement and 88,969 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Sun Great, with chemicals, Harmony, United Prosperity, Dubai Islands, Wan Hai-263, CMA CGM Karibu, Sagamore, with containers, Fu Qiang, with 48 trucks, Parsian, and Le Cong, with general cargo.
