KARACHI, June 28: Eight ships carrying palm oil, general cargo and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Iran Kordestan to unload and load containers, Gagar Mayang and Rising One to load naphtha were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Sargodha, Multan, Bow Fraternity, and Chemstar Hero, while Thor Captain, Elbe Oldendroff, Iran Kodestan and Dong He are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest as the total tonnage fell to 55,044 tons comprising 22,420 tons of export cargo and 32,624 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Swat, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Celtic Terrier, with 12,500 tons of palm oil, Corin Thaikos, Kota Teguh, Hyundai Stride, Y.M. Monng, and Manila Bay, with containers and Captain Adham, with general cargo.
